Mike Sartini

Michael R. Sartini has been a professional musician since 1990, performing with such prestigious companies as Theatre-By-The-Sea (Matunuck, RI), the University of Rhode Island (Kingston, RI), Company Theatre (Norwell, MA), Dean College (Franklin, MA), and the Orpheum Theatre (Foxboro, MA). In addition to his performance credits, Michael teaches snare, drumset, and percussion; is the faculty percussionist for Dean College's dance department; and is the Percussion Ensemble Instructor for Woonsocket High School (Woonsocket, RI). Michael has been involved with Rhode Island's statewide program, Chance to Dance, for many years, serving as both a board member and as percussionist for the elementary and middle school dance classes. He is also the musical contractor for both Theatre-By-The-Sea and the University of Rhode Island, along with his duties as vice-president for Percussive Arts Society Rhode Island chapter.

Michael maintains and operates a 24-track project studio for local artists and has been the sound engineer for numerous musicians including G.E. Smith, Livingston Taylor, Leon Redbone, Commander Cody, Duke Robillard, the Mick Goodrick Quartet (John Lockwood, Hal Crook, Gary Chaffee), Mili Bermejo, the Scott Sherwood Trio, Joanne Brackeen, Gary Burton, Orange Then Blue, the Joe Parillo Ensemble, and Jay Hogart. A Rhode Island native, Michael has studied at the Berklee College of Music and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island with a B.M. in Music Performance.
